The IR112 detects radiation at infrared frequencies, in a narrow band from 8 to 14 micrometers, and focuses it onto a sensor. An internal microprocessor calculates and displays the temperature on an LCD screen.
The laser is used only to indicate the target area to be measured. Laser light has no effect upon the measured temperature.
